Philadelphia County Settlement at Mediation: $1,200,000.00

This was a very contentious matter arising from a fall on snow and ice. There were multiple claims against three (3) primary defendants. The claimed injuries were significant and included various orthopedic injuries, adjustment disorder, and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. There was a workers’ compensation lien of approximately $500,000.00 as well as a claim for past wage loss of approximately $82,000.00. Plaintiff also was asserting a claims for future medical costs as well as future wage loss. There were multiple defenses being asserted as well as cross-claims amongst the defendants. Ultimately, Mediation proved successful in settling as against two (2) of the three (3) defendants. The case against the third, non-settling defendant remains listed for trial in 2024.
