Montgomery County Settlement at Mediation: $310,000.00:

This was a premises liability action following a slip and fall on a wet floor. Liability was not much in issue; however, the nature and extent of injury to Plaintiff, age 77 at the time, was very much in issue. Compounding the analysis was a subsequent fall involving Plaintiff at her home three (3) days after the subject fall. Plaintiff claimed the second fall was causally related to the injuries sustained in the first fall. Defendants disagreed. Ultimately, all Parties compromised, recognized the risk in proceeding to trial, and I was able to procure a very amicable settlement.
